We've missed you! Walk-Up Wednesdays 🖤
Do you remember treasure candles? You would burn your candle as usual and then *surprise!* there would be a hidden treasure in the wax for you to unearth. As you'd continue to burn your candle, you'd find more and more treasures inside.
🌸 The Summer Make-A-Long begins today! 🌸
With all of the excitement over the Summer Solstice release last week (thanks so much for the unbelievable response!) I'd like to tell you a little more about Undine! This linen and cotton fingering-weight yarn really has all of us here dreaming about the endless summer possibilities. I personally wear linen year round, so I can see garments from this new base being worn now and then layered during colder months.
Need a little sunshine? ☀️
A gorgeous ray of sunshine to brighten your mood (rain or shine, this has been tested and verified)! To me, this is the absolute perfect yellow. Blurring the lines between a pop of color and a dependable neutral. I see lots of Forsythia in my immediate future!
Summer Solstice 2020 Offering
The Summer Solstice 2020 Offering!
Summer is very nearly here and I have been so looking forward...
Moon Belt Bags, in CHROMITE!! ✨
Chromite has quickly risen to the very top of my favorite color list! I have the yarn colorway in three different projects right now and couldn't resist making a Moon Belt in it as well.
Making some things ✄
A lot has happened in the past few weeks which has brought the Black Lives Matter movement further momentum. I have been quieter on social media lately, digging deeper and listening more. I stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and am dedicated to elevating and giving space to Black voices. As a small business and with the platform that has grown, we are committed to continuing our learning (and un-learning), finding ways to make our space more inclusive and actively engage in anti-racism work.
Lithodora, a new spring colorway!
New yarn colorway in the webshop now! I have been seeing so much blooming lithodora on my morning walks. It is such an intense blue/violet, we went a little softer for the yarn colorway but included all those brilliant golden yellows from the center of the blooms. If you don't know which plant I am talking about, check this out. It has delicate blossoms but Lithodora is tougher than it seems, and it is serving as a good reminder to me that we are also pretty tough!

💜 For all the moms! 💜
This year I share Mother's Day with my eldest, who was born on Mother's Day eleven years ago. We will be having a cozy time at home with carrot cake (as requested), a few presents and probably a movie. I have been working on an elaborate version of a Haku dragon from the movie Spirited Away (have you seen it?) and I am looking forward to finally presenting it!
Scotch Broom & Spring Blooms! 🌸
Scotch Broom is a sweet little pattern just out from Wool & Pine! This top features our Crone base, a soft single-ply merino fingering weight yarn.
Vintage '83 is here and it's adorable!! 💕
This textured top is a perfect spring make. It incorporates a squishy brioche yoke and then moves into a textural, repetitive body. Cute and cropped!
How are you all doing?
My days have somehow been feeling both long and short at the same time. I oscillate between feeling like this is all very doable to feeling extremely overwhelmed! I am grateful to be able to keep working, for my knitting and for my health.
Something cute to brighten your day!
Something cute to brighten your day! These scissors fit nicely into my knitter's tool kit and are really all that is needed for my day to day knitting. New in the studio, these mini tasseled scissors from Seki are efficient and adorable.
Spring Equinox
It is sure some weird times! I hope you are hanging in there and finding ways to take care of yourself. I know that for some of us being forced to slow down isn't as hard as it can be for others.
Spring Cleaning Magic
I have been spending a lot of time in the studio, bringing in new knitter/maker tools and just generally organizing and tidying the space.
Spring Cleaning And Socks And Clogs Lewk
I am definitely feeling that teensy shift in weather here in the PNW (it is a moment we are always on high alert for)! Very inspired lately to knit all the socks (to wear with clogs of course!).
Stitches West
Thanks to everyone who came out and visited us at Stitches West! It was a great show and we had a blast!
Chromite
Chromite, a new colorway ! My very favorite kind of colors. When half of the room says "that is such a pretty blue!" and the other half says "what a beautiful grey!".
Jadeite and Green Tourmaline
Two new colors making their debut at Stitches West- Jadeite and Green Tourmaline.
Moon Belt Bag
This stunner is available as a preorder online and will be making its debut at our studio event this weekend.
Water Bearer
It's Aquarius season! Water Bearer, a new brioche cardigan, designed by Jacqueline Cieslak is out tomorrow!

It's Officially Selfish Knitting Season!
I'm not a big knit-giver, but, I did focus on a few projects for others this past couple months. I am truly looking forward to making a few special things just for me!
Thanks For An Amazing Year!
This year I moved Ritual Dyes out of my home and into a beautiful studio space. It has made all the difference! I have an amazing crew of three who have helped me steadily grow and I couldn't be more appreciative.
Travel Knitting, Comforts Of Home & A Preview Of Something New!
Will you be traveling this holiday season? Or staying home?
Casting on!
There is really no feeling like casting on something new! As I helped my friend (who is new to knitting) begin a project this week and saw how excited she was, it just reminded me how that feeling really never goes away!
Mini Knitter's Backpack in Pines
There are only a handful of people in my life who I will take the time to knit something for. Only if I know they will truly love it and use it!!! I mostly make things for myself, with intention, that fit into my wardrobe and lifestyle. With this season though, I am investing some time in making things for loved ones, and well- it's pretty fun!
The Complete Zodiac Collection
I can't describe just how enjoyable this zodiac collection has been for me! To celebrate the cumulation of a year's worth of work, I am releasing this Zodiac Tote! All of the knitterly characters in one spot. I had these bags made & printed here in Portland, Oregon with a unique one-strap design. The zodiac enamel pins can fit neatly over the printed design so you can embellish your bag and emphasize your sign, the astrological sign of your loved ones or just wear them all! The complete set features Maiden Minis in all twelve zodiac colorways and a descriptive card detailing and identifying each mini skein. An incredible gift to give or to keep for yourself!
