Travel Knitting, Comforts Of Home & A Preview Of Something New!

Will you be traveling this holiday season? Or staying home? My family has been keeping it pretty simple the past few years and that feels good to us; although there are definitely advantages to both options (Libra brain disclaimer).

If you are traveling, I know there is so much to bring, but do you also pack things for yourself to make you feel more comfortable? My own pillow and slippers are at the top of the list for my personal comfort must-haves.

A special preview for subscriber eyes only!

I hinted last week at something new that I have been working on, and this is it- seasonal offerings!

Beginning with this Winter Solstice 2019, I will be focusing on each particular season and all of the elements that inspire me during that time of year. At each solstice and equinox, a new maker-related package will be released.

For this first one, the Winter Solstice 2019 offering will include :
*3 full skeins of sock weight fingering yarn in non-repeatable, exclusive colorways
*An incredibly beautiful hand-poured beeswax candle in glass with a custom blend of Balsam Fir & Patchouli essential oils
*A Winter Solstice 2019 Limited Edition canvas zippered project bag, custom sewn here in Portland, Oregon

These will be available in very limited quantity on:
Saturday, December 21st at 7am PST

(Newsletter subscribers are getting early access at 7am! )

I wonder if you can guess some of the inspirations that went into creating these colorways? You can always reply to me here (and I'll get it).

Things I like 🖤

If you are traveling this holiday how about knitting this dishcloth ? It would work up quickly and easily on your plane/car ride and be a great gift to give the host! I think it's also a good palette cleanser.
Lavender eye pillows are easy to sew up (even a beginner like me had no problem!) and are pretty wonderful to use. They have relaxing properties that make them great to use during busy holiday times. They can be warmed up or chilled in the freezer for extra comfort.

If you feel like you need a break from the family & friends, pop on your headphones and listen to Little Weirds by Jenny Slate- it is absolutely perfect for when you need a laugh!!
