Care & Policies

Ritual Dyes uses food grade citric acid, non-toxic acid dyes and low water immersion techniques to minimize our impact on the environment. All of our dye is completely exhausted, using a very slow method, to ensure that no dye is being poured down our drains. Our bags are produced locally-  in Portland, Oregon by a lady-owned company.

Due to the nature of hand-dyed yarn, please expect that no two skeins will be exactly the same. As such, please purchase enough yarn to complete your project. We will do our best to match the skeins in your order.
Although superwash wool can be machine laundered, gentle hand washing and laying flat to dry is still the preferred method of care.

Canvas bags can be hand-washed in lukewarm water and then reshaped to be air-dried. Knitting Backpacks are meant to hold your WIP, yarn and a few essentials. Take care not to overload!

We will ship with the carrier you choose. Most orders ship within 2-3 business days. You will receive an email confirming the order has shipped along with a tracking number. We are not responsible for the package once it leaves our studio. Please select a shipping address that is safe and secure. If there has been a mistake, please notify us via email.

International orders may incur duty or import fees. The cost of shipping does not cover these fees and we are not responsible for customs or import costs.

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for store credit within 30 days of purchase date. Please contact us prior to sending the shipment. We will issue a digital gift certificate once we have received the returned items and confirmed it is undamaged/unused. Yarn must be in original packaging and hanks must not be wound. There are no returns on custom orders or sale items. Shipping charges will not be refunded and the buyer is responsible for the return postage on all items.
