Two new colors making their debut at Stitches West- Jadeite and Green Tourmaline. You can also find them in the webshop here. I happen to be very much a green person if I haven't made that clear- I love greens! These two are really doing it for me.

Jadeite is a known as the dream stone. It assists in dream recall and the messages we receive while we sleep. Green Tourmaline is perhaps nature's best healing crystal of the physical heart, channeling its electrical energies into the center of one's being and creating a flow of wholesome energy to all parts of the body and self. These descriptors helped to inspire the yarn colorways and I hope they are the dreamy, heart-healing fiber you've been seeking!

Spring in Portland! Well it's absolutely not here yet but Spring is a beautiful time to visit the Rose City. I have spoken to a few people considering making the first weekend of May a getaway weekend to Portland! Destination knitting weekend anyone?! Jacqueline Cieslak will be here to teach classes at the studio and that could be a nice reason to come visit at one of the prettiest times of the year.

"Knitting Math for Curves" on Saturday has sold out, but we have added a new class on Sunday! There is still some room in the "Capsule Wardrobe Class" if you want to combine the two as they do play well off each other. 

If you haven't visited our studio before, we are located in Inner Southeast Portland; an eclectic and vibrant neighborhood. We have a cozy, plant-filled space and are lucky enough to be nearby to some great food! There is no shortage of eateries but our favorites include Virtuous Pie, our dearest neighbors Best Friend, and The Baker's Mark.

I am working on a Balloon Sweater right now in Smoke on Maven and Fae. PetiteKnits just expanded the size range on this design and I am loving the shape of this one!

The Love Note Sweater from TinCan Knits is a pretty option too!
