Introducing : Undine!
Our newest yarn base, Undine! This linen and cotton fingering-weight yarn really has all of us here dreaming about the endless summer possibilities. I personally wear linen year round, so I can see garments from this new base being worn now and then layered during colder months.
Current colorways: Natural, Peony and Lamb's Ear plus the collaboration colorway Chestnut Blossom available only in the Summer Solstice 2020 Offering.
Both linen and cotton yarn are strong, durable and absorbent. They are an inelastic fiber and do not have the same memory as wool. This combination has great stitch definition and creates a beautiful, drapey, fabric. It is machine washable and can be tumble-dried. It will get softer with use and makes for a great year round fiber.

This new base opens up so many pattern ideas! Things I would like to knit this in right now include the Summer Secret Crop from Jessie Maed and as a Rift from Jacqueline Cieslak, I think this would work up really beautifully. I also really like the idea of a lightweight linen shawl for summer and Joji Locatelli's Storm Shawl would be really pretty in Undine.
