Vintage 83 from Andrea Mowry!

Vintage 83 from Andrea Mowry!

Andrea Mowry just released a new pattern, Vintage 83!

This cute spring top features a fold over collar, engaging brioche yoke and a textured body. I love the way our Maven base pairs with the suri-alpaca Oh Dang! from The Farmers Daughter Fibers! Love, love!!

Chatting with friends!

I did a quick Q&A with Andrea Mowry and Candice English from The Farmers Daughter Fibers in celebration of our collaboration and to catch up on how it has been going for them.

RD: What are you missing most with our new quarantine life?
AM: My family! My in-laws used to come every week and stay for a night. We loved it (especially my kiddos!) We are really missing their presence here. My mom also got very sick during all of this, and not being able to go see her in Michigan was tough!
RD: What are you enjoying most about our new quarantine life?
AM: Thankfully, I am a shy, introverted homebody - so staying home is pretty much our norm! We have really been focusing on our kids and cooking lots of yummy meals. It feels like the world has gotten much smaller and some of the outside distractions are temporarily gone.
RD: What is your favorite way to style this cute new top?
AM: Overalls! Forever and always ;)

Same questions with Candice from FDF:
RD: What are you missing most with our new quarantine life?
CE: I am missing my Mom and Sister but mostly my new baby niece I have only got to see once. I am knitting her a wardrobe for a queen with all this alone time!
RD: What are you enjoying most about our new quarantine life?
CE: Knitting! Slowing down with my kids, making lots of plant medicine, and getting creative around FDF!
RD: What is your favorite way to style this cute new top?
CE: I have been wearing mine with high waisted Levis and a jean jacket. Can you ever go wrong with the Canadian Tuxedo?!

There are three kits that I've put together with Candice for this release. Andrea's original colorways, Candice's personal pick and my color pick! I love how different they all are! You can purchase the FDF portion for the kit here, the RD portion of the kit here and the pattern is available on Ravelry here.

Andrea is donating 25% of the sales of the Vintage '83 pattern to The Sisters United Initiative which helps support Native Women, youth and communities through May 1st. You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry and you can also donate directly here.
