No matter how you knit, your knitwear will be beautiful and smooth with an elegant drape after the first wash as all unevenness will be smoothed out.
Stretch the work slightly when measuring your length. This yarn will only give a little, but it is your knitting tension and the design that ultimately determines whether some measurements will change slightly after the first wash.

Care Instructions
To achieve the luxurious smooth, slouchy linen look, knitwear in Linen Silk should be soaked in clean water at room temperature for about 24 hours the first time it is washed. If you have several colors or yarns together, it is a good idea to soak your knitting sample to see if you need to be a little extra careful.
Press your knitwear dry in a towel (or give it a light spin) and let it air dry (linen should never be tumble dried, as it will shrink).
All subsequent washing should be completely normal. You can wash in the machine or by hand at 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit (20-25 degrees Celsius) for a maximum of 5 minutes, use a laundry bag. Avoid spinning, as this can cause wrinkles in the linen.
