Summer is the time for fun knitting accessories! Are you interested in lace knitting, but feeling a bit overwhelmed? We have the perfect pattern for your first lacework project: the Snaraness by Gudrun Johnston. Snaraness is a pattern inspired by her Mum, who frequently wore knitted lace headscarves. While the pattern calls for the use of a lace weight yarn, it can easily be knitted in a heavier weight for a thicker texture. We love the use of a yarn over at the beginning of the row for added playfulness and whimsy.
In this class we will cover:
- How to read a lace chart
- How to read written lace instructions
- Yarn overs and decreases
- How to tink back
- Use of life line
- How to block lace

- Cast on
