Natascha designed the Forsythia tank as a transitional tank that could be worn as a vest in the Spring and as a tank in the Summer, then a vest again in the Fall. It is the perfect addition to your hand-knit wardrobe!
The simple, but eye-catching cable detail makes it fun to pair with prints and solids. The top is worked top-down starting with the back panel, fronts are picked up from the shoulder shaping stitches and worked to form the neckline. After the underarm shaping, front and back are joined to work in the round. I-cord edging along the neck and armholes add the finishing touch.

Recommended ease is 2 in / 5 cm of negative ease to no ease at the chest. Sample is Size 2 on a 5’8” tall woman with a 38 in / 96.5 cm chest.

All hand dyed yarn is unique and no two skeins will be exactly alike. Please purchase enough yarn to complete your project. Alternating skeins is the best way to prevent possible pooling, flashing or a sudden shift of color. It's easy! Just work 1-2 row stripes from two balls of yarn (carrying the yarn up the side).
