Say hello to Woolia from Gepard Garn!
Sheep & lambs graze mainly between fruit and olive trees on organic plantations and on extensive areas.
Woolia is spun from the wool from lambs and sheep of an original old Italian merino breed, Merino Gentile Puglia.
This breed lived and now lives again in a smaller local area around Puglia, in Italy and is about to spread to more areas. Puglia is the sheep's original habitat and therefore the sheep stay healthy much more easily. This form of sheep farming and their grazing is the most sustainable production of wool. It is environmentally friendly and provides the best living conditions for the sheep and the sheep farmers.
The sheep farmers sort the wool themselves and sell the wool directly to the Gepard spinning mill. In this way, the farmer gets a better price for the wool and Gepard knows the product down to the individual small flocks of sheep.
Woolia is soft enough and completely pilling-free and goes a long way.
This means that the sweaters will be wonderfully light, even with cables or Fair Isle knits.
The first time you feel the wool, you will probably experience it as a little dry, that is a characteristic of this merino. It is also the characteristic that gives the yarn a great lightness and the property that makes Woolia knits keep their shape regardless of needle size.

Care Instructions
This yarn is not superwash treated. We recommend washing your knitted fabric in warm water with soap or a suitable detergent. If you wish to test the wool setting of your machine, we advise you to do so first with your sample.
Each dye lot is unique. Please purchase enough yarn to complete your project.
