The Burnside Pullover from Natascha Tulloch is a relaxed fit summer top with a classic sweatshirt shape and an all-over knit-purl texture, named for the iconic Burnside Skate Park in Portland, Oregon. This piece is perfect for pairing with shorts for a casual look or layering over your favorite dress. The body is worked from the bottom up, starting in the round until separating for the arm holes. The front and back are worked flat with short row shaping and a three needle bind off to finish the shoulders. The collar is then knit by picking up stitches along the neckline. The sleeves are worked top-down, in the round, with picked-up stitches from the arm holes. The stockinette hem, collar, and cuffs are knit with a purl round halfway through for a tidy fold when doubled.

All hand dyed yarn is unique and no two skeins will be exactly alike. Please purchase enough yarn to complete your project. Alternating skeins is the best way to prevent possible pooling, flashing or a sudden shift of color. It's easy! Just work 1-2 row stripes from two balls of yarn (carrying the yarn up the side).
We try hard to capture the essence of each colorway, but please keep in mind that colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
