- Mondim from Rosa Pomar
Rosa Pomar's Mondim is a non-superwash fingering weight yarn made from fine Portuguese wool. It is named after a Portuguese village once famous for its sock knitting cottage industry.
Most batches of Mondim are exclusively made from the wool of native Campaniça sheep.
Please note: variegated shades are made in a machine but in a very artisanal manner. This results in variation between batches.
Due to the rustic nature of the yarn it is possible that you will find straw or other vegetable matter spun in with your yarn. It’s the charm of this base and its sheep to skein adventure.

Hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry.
All hand dyed yarn is unique and no two skeins will be exactly alike. Please purchase enough yarn to complete your project. Alternating skeins is the best way to prevent possible pooling, flashing or a sudden shift of color. It's easy! Just work 1-2 row stripes from two balls of yarn (carrying the yarn up the side).
