Wensley Worsted from La Bien Aimée
Introducing La Bien Aimée’s brand new base, Wensley Worsted!
Wensley Worsted has the same yardage and thickness as Corrie Worsted, with 230 meters (250 yards) for 100g, and it is composed of 50% Falkland Corriedale, 25% Falkland Merino and 25% Wensleydale.
Just like Felix is to Helix, Wensley Worsted is the white base companion yarn to Corrie Worsted. The white base means that La Bien Aimée can dye all of their super bright colors on it.
Why Wensleydale? The Gotland in Corrie Worsted creates a beautiful dark halo, almost like Mohair. Wensleydale also has long fibers that create that same kind of halo, but on a white fiber. La Bien Aimée also recommends mixing Corrie Worsted and Wensley Worsted, both yarns go together fabulously! They are the exact same thickness and were designed to be knit together or as substitutes for each other.

Hand wash cold. Lay flat to dry.
All hand dyed yarn is unique and no two skeins will be exactly alike. Please purchase enough yarn to complete your project. Alternating skeins is the best way to prevent possible pooling, flashing or a sudden shift of color. It's easy! Just work 1-2 row stripes from two balls of yarn (carrying the yarn up the side).
We try hard to capture the essence of each colorway, but please keep in mind that colors may vary from monitor to monitor.
